Rough day moving to new RV park. Strange thing like a wind tunnel in the back of truck when towing. All is fine I lost a 9' x 12' checkered patio mat flew out of back of truck and also lost white vinyl skirt for front of RV where Duke lives. Cost bout $310 for both. Drove back freeway 1 hour round trip only found skirt was torn up and damage from running over. Unable to find patio mat.

New skirt gonna cost bout $240 have to wait get paid. Really rough day need more practice on hooking and unhooking RV. Plus on top of that it was raining on and off all day everything is wet. Was able to fix problem with sewer tank, now smooth dumping yeahhhhhh.

Happy Tuesday not much happened today just wash clothes and change sewer hoses. Use to run with electric macerater type pump. Use standard hose for now easier. Tomorrow we move back to Rancho Jurupa finish work on RV

Hey hey happy Sunday, today we just relax and cruise was cold today. Yesterday I went to the mall with the gang family was fun just walk around and eat lunch. Tomorrow maybe a movie dunno ok....

Yesterday picked up Jr Medeiros at LAX then took 2 1/2 hours to drive back. We all ate dinner at Honolulu Hawaiian BBQ in Pomona , I had chicken katsu and Uncle Steve had Loco moco Spam style. Julianne had hamburger steak but was lousy. Got back to RV late and was cold again. Today spent eve with Julianne and gang in Pomona.

Last night we had a windstorm with rain. Things were all over the place this morning. RV was shaking too and our shoes were wet this morning. We stayed in Today Uncle Steve wouldn't even go outside he took afternoon nap. I did work outside and in the truck getting ready for Medeiros coming tomorrow from san Francisco. Elisha leaves tonight for Texas to spend holidays with Shawndee and family. By

Picked up Julianne and Jacela and Tiffany at Vet cuz their dog Lucky spraigned his ankle. Dog was given pain medication and can't operate heavy machinery or drive till meds ware off. Had big wind storm let night RV was shaking and skirt tarp was flapping making noise. This morning evrything on the table was on the ground. Relaxing Day

Good day all, today we walked around the park. Unpacked the storage locker and reorganized things. Installed locks on the storage locker doors the ones that came with the RV are they same on every other RV so anyone can open yur storage locker. Tomorrow going visit Julianne and Cela take Them to RV park. Good night happy trails to all.

Oops just got back from town get some water and groceries for din din tomorrow, the main gate in was locked no one around. Panick, 2 1/4 mile walk to RV and it's gettin cold. Decided to take apart their Trout fishing sign and lay board across tire spikes ( the kind where blow tires if back up ) and we drove over their sign getting it a bit dirty I had to break to smal links from the hinged sign . Horay we are safely at cam and Duke was let out of kennel. psss. We both took a siesta this afternoon. Uncle Steve inside with radio on and me outside in papasan chair with my radio on. Made it to Prado Regional Park in Chino, CA.  Nice big park so very secluded far away from any town. This morning we moved to a better spot. To move either I drive ll the way around park or back up 150 feet. If you know me ....... yep I back up good practice and I did just fine. I had a difficult time hooking up the RV though so frustrating but we finlly got it.

Ok filled up both tanks 14 gals at $3.18 gal. First fill up $44. Found Asian store got miso soup and Ginger tea and tea pot. Ate Pho, first time for Uncle Steve and he really liked it. Tomorrow change parks and pack up all stuff got in two weeks yikes.....

This morning was cold and finally ran out of propane gas last night. Lasted two weeks with furnace running every night and use of gas stove. Today remove both tanks and get propane someplace. Stay tunes cuz tomorrow move to Prado rv Park closer to Julianne and Cela and Davids place.

Morning all, this post is meant for yesterday. Had an electrical problem the TV DVD had no power. The electric blanket tripped the breaker although I reset the breaker still no power. So I had to hookup RV and drive to dealership. My first time through town and traffic lights onto the freeway. Found out I did not reset the breaker properly there's a trick to it. Good practice driving for sure and I think I did very well. Uncle Steve stayed back with Duke.

Morning all, wow last night was cold, here's what happened. Uncle Steve , he went to sleep early last night and I stayed up having a nice chilled glass of Macadamia nut liq.

I turned on the heater in the dark and went to sleep. I woke several times a little cold but figure I would wait till time for get up. Uncle Steve went to bathroom and told me my bedroom was fricken cold yes fricken cold he said.

Then he said his electric blanket was not working as good as the first night. The yellow light was blinking he don't know why.  He did not have the cord plugged on all the way into the blanket. I plugged it in and jacked up the heat, well needless to say I am having a cup of Lions French Roast. Oh and why was my room so cold, I turned on the fan by mistake so the a/c fan was on all night.

One more click and the a/c would have bee on. Remember boys and girls, right is heat and left is cold. They should have made the switches seperate. And face the controls when you turn something on and don't do it in the dark. Now the RV is toasty and java is lovely. Happy Day to all.

Temp is 54 kinda hot tonight usually temp around 37-43. Probably cuz rain may come that's why. 

Good Morning, the storm is not as bad as they thought. It rained a little last night and the skys are cloudy and gloomy. We plan to go to Camping World to return storage bin locks and the heater. Also have to get Uncle Steve a rake so he can clean up the leaves in our area. He reminds me all the time. Aloha out

RV Hitch

Woke up very early this morning to take the truck to the RV center to install the 5th wheel hitch. The entire process took about two hours. They installed the Reese 15k Pro Series Adjustable hitch and a 7 pin wiring harness. I did not have to install a brake controller as thought because my Ford truck already has a brake controller, which I played with when I got the truck but had no idea what it was for other than for towing.

When I am towing the RV, and press the truck brake, the trailer brake also engages which slows down the trailer. I can also slide the switch and manually stop the trailer for various reasons. Some of those I still have to figure out. It cost about $1500 for the whole setup but now I can tow my 5th wheel.

It rained last night some storm, I kept Duke as dry as I could but it's cold outside this morning and I had to clean up all the wet stuff around the RV. This afternoon Uncle Steve arrives, he loves the cold. I hope.

Morning, Duke came in on Sunday he was excites to be here. Jan and Neal had trouble getting in checked in. HA said kennel was two inches too short so they had to purchase a very large kennel. It's huge and I will try to store it under the RV kingpin with the skirt I bought.

Spending time with Julianne and Jacela we going to birthday party. I bought some things at camping world, toilet tank, electric heater and vacuum cleaner. Need to pickup things I ordered over the Internet, stored at Julianne house. Duke comes tomorrow horaah another day of retirement. Stay tuned......

Morning everyone 50 degrees this morning fricken cold last night. Got alot done yesterday, today spend time getting everything out of the truck so I can park anywhere and not worry bout crums.

Hello everyone, well spent first night in RV. Was cool at first then ass froze had to turn on furnance for most of night. Today just putting thongs away still have boxes in my truck so won't rest until all packed.

Lots of old people here walking their dogs. Oh well guess I'm there, where's Duke???

OK folks the day is finally here. Oficial retirement starts today. Getting to airport was stressful as usual, thanks dad and roxane for help this morning. 

Had problem with firearms on plane. Almost forgot to declare them and then did not have lock to secure the case. Followed HA policy which was wrong according to Federal policy. But I am in the air now next stop LA...... Yeah baby......

In June of 2008, I purchased a white Ford F-250 Super Duty 4x4 Diesel truck from McKenna Ford in Kailua, Hawaii. I purchased this truck to pull my 5th wheel rv across America, sometime next year.
